HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three letters from head coach Chris Sikora at Berkley High … team captain … two-time first team all-conference … set the school record for receiving yards and touchdowns scored (five) in a single game … finished with 46 receptions for 1,028 yards and 17 scores as a senior … also tallied six rushing and two defensive touchdowns … helped the Bears win the 2015 district championship and reach the regional finals, both firsts in school history … recorded 78 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and six fumble recoveries on defense … earned the team’s Leadership Award … a member of the Honor Roll.

Former Steeler James Ester made us of us proud as he entered High School and is playing for the feared Detroit Cass Tech. #42 lets everyone know where he came from, being an elite player since his Steelers days. He was offered a Scholarship to play for the University of Memphis in 2018 and he is just starting his Senior Year! ESTER IS NOW STARTING DT FOR THE NORTHEN ILLINOIS at 6'4" / 238 pounds of STEELER POWER representing in Illinois. WE are proud of you JAMES!
